|  Texans - Who is your choice for governor?
I will naturally vote for whomever wins the GOP primary, but I'm pulling for Kay Bailey. I don't much care for Slick Rick, although I voted for him. I don't consider him to be true Republican. I'm looking forward to Kinky Friedman in the Democrat/Commiecrat primary, just because he's fun to watch. He is a friend of my first wife, which is all the reason I need to not vote for him.

I like Kinky's music, but wouldn't consider voting for that nutbag. All I can say is, good luck down there. It's one of the few places in the country that's not too messed up yet, but things get worse everyday like the rest of the country...

Although our politics don't match, I really like Kinky. He is about as colorful as anyone can get. I doubt if he remembers me, but I met him back in the early 80s. He was in a book my then wife was editing called, The Greatest Little Bachelor Book in Texas. The last time he ran for governor, I signed his petition, just so I could watch the show he put on running. Of course, he won't get the Democrat nomination this time around, but it will be fun to set back and watch. I'm not that thrilled about our choices on the Republican side, but really, really don't like Slick Rick. He lost me when he supported the baby killer from New York.

Kinky is a character for sure. I'm no longer thrilled with the Republican party period. I'm seriously considering changing my voting affiliation. Problem is there's no good place to take my vote. I like the Libertarian idea, but they have their own issues and like all third parties, no chance of winning anything of merritt. So, I stick with the closest thing that works. Sadly, until the new revolution starts that's the GOP...

I'm not just real fond of Governor Great Hair, and Kay Baily pulled a couple of shenanigans that have me a little turned off also, but if Willy Nelson would run, he'd get my vote no matter which ticket. I would like to see Charlie Stenholm come out of retirement. He's a conservative in demakazie clothing.

I'm not sure which I'm going to vote for. I wasn't going to, but then Project Acorn called and offered me a ballot, and I love voting... so I figured why not?

Ronnie Earl.....what a liberal gun grabbing ass if he were to run. He is the former Travis County DA that said he wouldn't recognize the Texas Motorist Protection act and gave orders to arrest legally carrying motorist in Travis County, what an ass.
