If you had to buy a 10 round max capacity, daily carry, and you were going to open carry, what would you choose and why?

Limited to 10 rounds and open carry, I'd go with either a Glock 21. If I don't get the ammo advantage I'd go with the biggest caliber I can easily handle in a full sized but light weight pistol.

CZ75 compact in .40S&W. It's what I carry now, but smaller. It's actually what sold the full sized for me. I'm bigger'n you, I'd wager, so I can carry it just fine. You'd be able to fit the compact just fine. Why are you going to be limited to .40? Visiting a certain kommunistic state?

being held to only ten rds i would still take a 1911 in 45 over everything else 9 rds of 230jhp will be more then enough with my 2 extra reloads. 25 total rds of 45 is what i consider heaven on a belt.

Canadians are limited to 5 round mags for rifles and 10 round mags for pistols. I was thinking about a 1911, but I have no experience with them. I could buy one to have but I don't know if I should rely on something I'm not used to. I'll probably end up getting (another) Glock 23 with 10 round mags. The cool thing is they only limit 10 round mags... 10+1 If they limit high caps, I'm going to go with a 1911. Traditional 1911's are single stack anyway. A). they restrict mags only. I buy a Glock 23 with 10 round mags and buy higher cap mags when I get back to PA. B). They don't allow high cap handguns. I buy a 1911 and hold onto it. C). I buy something else low cap and I sell it before I leave because who in their right mind would buy it outside of Cali or Canada :P | |||

1911 commander of some sort though 10 round mags is pushing it for them. Lots of decent sub compacts out there though.
