Default The Judge Review

Having gone through approximatley 200 rounds of various types of ammo #6, 000 Buck, 45 Long Colt and shooting at various targets 12" shoot n c, playing cards, filled gallon jugs etc and a few clay pigeons .,

I have judged the judge to be a great, fun pistol.

The accuracy is suprising using the 45 Long up to 45 feet keeping 3 shots around the center of a playing card ace of clubs in case you were wondering.

The 000 Buck also was suprisingly accurate and consistent at 21 feet.

And as you might have already guessed the #6 shot was the least fun having a big spread at short distances.

All in all the Judge's kick/recoil isn't that bad and easily managed with one hand.

I once thought that the recoil of the judge would render the gun useless for a woman in as a self defence weaponbut after having fired it and having some "girl" friends fire it I am convinced it can be handled by most women.

I higly reccomend the Judge

Accurrate, Managable, Versatile, and Fun!!

The big thing with the Judge... as far as I can tell is about using it as a carry gun and being able to blast someone like you've got a small shotgun in your hand. I've heard, however, that it's a bit bulky. Do you have any thoughts on that? Mind you, this is all academic, since the Judge isn't purchasable in CA (apparently it's counted under the same rule as a sawed off shotgun). I'm still curious, though.

I actually purchased the "Public Defender" with a 2 1/2 chamber but before firing it traded it for the full size 3" chamber and 3" barrell. Why, you ask? In my opinion and my career it is near impossible to conceal a weapon. My daily carry is a 239 but it is often left in the car because of my inability to conceal.

The Judge could in theory be carried by many people and probably is or is going to be but... It's big! even the public defender was big.

For me it's a home defense and a private land "shoot em up" fun gun. I keep it loaded with 5 rounds of 000 Buck in my night stand

What all can it fire? .410, .45ACP?, .45GAP?,

Edit:

I'd be interested in seeing the pattern at 7, 10, 15, and 20 feet. Maybe next time you fire it... bring a camera

The 3" chamber can fire any type of .410 shell, 000 Buck, 0000 Buck, #6, #7, Slugs, Birdshots, you get the idea.

It will shoot the 45 Long colt as well but that's it as far as traditional ammunition.

I have some video but it's on my crackberry and I have no figured out how to transfer yet

Hahahaha the Judge is pretty cool, i have one and used it for a training class one time, boy the looks on the students face's when i shot the target with buck shot was priceless.
They are a neat concept, i keep mine in my office and it rides under my leg in the truck, for contact to 10yrds it is a most devistating gun, I'am haveing a cross draw built for it right now for those long rides to my families homes in the truck it is alot easier to get at that way, i keep it loaded with 0000 buck and 250gr Buffalo Bore 45LC rotated in the cylinder, with the buck being the first round to fire.
