The AAC Party ‘10

As many of you saw, I had to resort to pubic begging to get into the Advance Armament Corporation party aka. BIG BANG 2010. Fortunately Cara Brittingham took pity on me and hooked me up with tickets not only for myself but also for my talented photographers Bryan and Isaac.

I got to the party early, or so I thought, only to realize that when going to a corporate party in Vegas that is serving food, 30 minutes after the doors open is not early, it is actually a-long-line-waiting-to-get-food late. I missed the opening band but the food was worth it.

The headline act was a KISS tribute band named Mini KISS. They were great.
Jeremy, the national spokesperson of The Wounded Warrior Project, was given a Ric Flair Championship belt. He is a really great guy.

If the fistfuls of cash being handed over to the bartenders were anything to go by, people where having a lot of fun. Lynnsey supplied me with extra complementary drinks coupons, so my wallet was no lighter when I left Thanks Lynnsey you're awesome!
Knight Armament had brought along two dummy (solid plastic and obviously non-functional) rifles with night vision scopes mounted on them. Glassing the Vegas strip at night, from the 51st floor of the Rio, was an incredible experience. One scope was a thermal scope and the other had an image intensifier mounted in front of it.

As you no doubt have guessed, I had a great time at the party. It was awesome to have to opportunity to meet the AAC crew. I had the honor of meeting Kevin (the founder), Cara, Lynnsey, Rachel, Jason and Mike. They are a very cool group of people.
Disclaimer: I was given tickets on the proviso that I would mention the party on the blog. I would have of course done this anyway.
[ Many thanks to Bryan and Isaac for their photos and Cara and Mike for sorting out the tickets. ]
