Spend, spend again.

Obama announced on Labor Day that his Admin is purposing another 50 BILLION Stimulus, but NOT called a Stimulus, to be spent of Infrastructure projects.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have openly stated this is ONE of the few areas where I felt improvement for the overall economy needed to be addressed ASAP and didn't happen.

This is where it gets interesting. Ya'll remember that 1st Stimulus, right? Cost our great grand kids about 1 Trillion bucks? Yeah.. that one. Anyway, in IT from almost 2 YEARS ago, is a Ear Mark for 50 BILLION dollars to go to "Shovel-Ready" Infrastructure projects. "Shovel-ready" means soon as the money was handed out to various areas, they had project set to begin immediately. Some guys have shovels in their hand waiting to hear "Go!".. ya'll get the point, right?
Well, guess what? THAT original 50B HAS NOT been even STARTED to be paid out. So here is the logic coming out of Washington:
1. Crap- we need to stimulate things
2. Well- let's spend some on Infrastructure
3. oops- forgot to pay 50 BILLION out
4. Hey- there has been NO improvement on Infrastructure with that 50B we forgot to give them
5. Hmmm- Problem needs more cash!
6. Let's get on TV and show the people our brilliance in spending, but not spending, more of their hard earned money!
7. Hey- While I'm on, let me whine how mean everyone is being to me by fighting me every step of the way!
(Umm.. could it be because you told them you didn't really need their votes and are wrong but refuse to listen??)

To quote the movie Forrest Gump:

Stupid is as Stupid does!

Florida minister is planning a Sept. 11th Bar-B-Que on his Church's property. The main course appears to be multiple copies of the Karan favored with gasoline. Sounds yummy...

Muslims are in a REAL uproar over this..
Liberals, like Holder, are in a SERIOUS tizzy over it..
Hispanics are strangely silent.. along with the Blacks.
1/2 of us White folks are shaking our heads over the stupidity of it all..
The other 1/2 are trying to ignore it and pretend it's not gonna happen..

Then there is ME..

*I* am LAUGHING MY ASS OFF over it!

The American Symbolism (That pretty lil red, white and blue flag that most of ya'll MAY hang up twice a year.) has been burned, tromped on, wrapped around effigy's and beaten etc. But we are to ignore that because of their rights but ummm.. we are suppose to always respect their Symbols?

Just recently, in AZ, protesters walked all over our Flag, sat on it and had picnics, BURNED it and to add salt to my wound flew a MEXICAN flag HERE in the US! And the cops just watched.. because they have this right supposedly. (By the way, I have the right to repel invaders, and the moment you break out a FOREIGN flag and start waving it on OUR soil, like you just conquered us, you went from Protester/Illegal Alien to Foreign Invader.)

A few years back, a small business in Alabama had in their window a Confederate Flag. The BLACKS showed up, and from ALL over the country, to protest that Slavery is bad.. uhhh.. okay.. thought that was decided awhile back? They were wearing these little leather tabs on their necks displaying the African continent in that nation's colors and other African garb. Umm.. hold on.. aren't you displaying YOUR heritage openly and a white guy can't?

So perhaps they are staying quiet because they SHOULDN'T have anything to say about it?

Symbolism is just that, a symbol of something. Why is it a white person not respecting OTHERS symbols it is suddenly declared Racism? Has Webster changed the definition of Racism to "Anything a white does that other Ethic groups don't like" and I missed the announcement?

Welcome to America, Muslims! News flash, you picked the wrong Country if all you want is love and kisses everyday.

Some folks seem to think that the various drug wars and overall criminal activities in Mexico aren't spilling over here to the US. It should be shocking for them to learn that Texas is having pirate problems, just like Somali suffers, fortunately not on their scale.. YET.
Falcon Lake shares the border with Mexico in the far South Western edges of our state. There is a series of essentially lamp posts out in the water marking the international lines. The lake is great for Bass fishing and overall enjoyment of the waters. It also seems to be home to some pirates.. yes.. I said pirates! They are haunting the area, zooming in on various fishermen and folks enjoying boating and under HEAVY arms, robbing them blind. They zip back to their side and are officially safe from our law enforcement officers. What makes it worse is there are Militia groups monitoring and recording the often done crossing by these same criminal types. Apparently, when the pirating pickings are slim, they are resorting to smuggling. These people are using speedy bass boats etc and running drugs, cash, ammo and weapons back and forth across the lake. Since the lake series cover roughly 60 miles of border area, the poor under staffed Border Patrol and local police agencies can't possibly cover that amount of area along with their other duties, the instances of these particular issues are increasing. The Federal Gov't for some reason CONTINUES to ignore our state's pleadings for more assistance. So I personally am asking you folks not suffering as severely as those of us in the southern states are to PLEASE PLEASE contact your Congress members and Senate members to pressure them into addressing these issues. I ask NOT just for Texas, but for California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. If we can not start stemming this tide down here, ya'll WILL see it up there eventually.

Dr. Charles Krauthammer

We see him on TV every weekday on the Fox news channel (not Channel 5) at 6:30pm.
I didn't know he was an MD nor did I know he is paralyzed. He's quite a man.

Dr. Krauthammer is on Fox News. He is an M.D. and a lawyer and is paralyzed from the neck down. A friend went to hear Charles Krauthammer. He listened with 25 others in a closed room. What he says here, is NOT 2nd-hand but 1st. The ramifications are staggering for us, our children and their children.

Last Monday was a profound evening, Dr. Charles Krauthammer spoke to the Center for the American Experiment.. He is a brilliant intellectual, seasoned & articulate. He is forthright and careful in his analysis, and never resorts to emotions or personal insults. He is NOT a fear monger nor an extremist in his comments and views. He is a fiscal conservative, and has received a Pulitzer Prize for writing. He is a frequent contributor to Fox News and writes weekly for the Washington Post.

The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have summarized his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid, feel free....

Summary of his comments:

1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. The taking down of the Clinton dynasty was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.

2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton . He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!

3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada .

4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Paying for FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid!

5. He has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can't work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.

6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States , but more as a ruler over the world.. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany and England was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!

7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.

8.. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. Republicans are pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future... We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.

9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have.. This could lead to hyperinflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package. These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.

10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed, fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising it was as close as it was.

11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power.
If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it will be a dogfight. It will all be about the economy. I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress. There is a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we're right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.

Do yourself a long term favor, send this to all who will listen to an intelligent assessment of the big picture. All our futures and children's futures depend on our good understanding of what is really going on in DC, and our action pursuant to that understanding!! It really IS up to each of us to take individual action!! Start with educating your friends and neighbors!!!

THE STIMULUS AT WORK!

Some have said that the stimulus hasn't saved any jobs,
but here is a case where at least one job was saved.

Take for instance Oregon State University Athletic Director
Bob DeCarolis.

Now Mr. DeCarolis was considering firing their

Basketball Coach.......

Craig Robinson

after an

8 -11 start (2-5) in the Pac 10 conference).

When word reached Washington ,

Undersecretary of Education

Martha Kanter

was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million

in stimulus money for the university.

Thankfully, Craig Robinson's job is

safe for another year!

Now comes the interesting part of our story.

For those of you unfamiliar with

Coach Robinson,

he just so happens to be the brother in law

of none other than our country's

beloved President,

NOW YOU'RE CATCHING ON.

that's right he is the brother of

Michelle Obama!

But hey, can't we all come to the conclusion

that Coach Robinson's job security

was all just a coincidence?

I'm sure of it!

Aren't You?

Thank Goodness For The

Stimulus!!!
Do you plan on voting November 2nd?

State obscures elite Texas Rangers' border work - Yahoo! News

McALLEN, Texas – Gov. Rick Perry has told just about anyone who will listen about his plan to dispatch elite teams of Texas Rangers to the border to do what he says the federal government won't — keep Texans safe from encroaching Mexican drug violence.
Just don't ask him for specifics.
While the Ranger Recon initiative has served as a strong rhetorical counterpoint when Perry slams the federal government, details about what the taxpayer-funded teams actually accomplish remain a secret.
State officials insist they do not tally arrests or drug and property seizures under the program, which they say doesn't have its own budget after more than a year in operation. They say the Ranger Recon teams are paid out of the state's larger border security initiative, but decline to put a dollar figure on the program's costs. Nor will they say how many of the state's 144 Rangers, the top criminal investigators in Texas, participate or where the teams have been active.
The Department of Public Safety, which oversees the program, said in response to an Associated Press public records request that the Rangers do no investigative work as part of the teams, but have engaged in about 10 "missions."
Reports on the missions, however, are kept under wraps to preserve "operational security," said public safety director Steve McCraw. He also said the program doesn't want to brag.
"Have there been arrests made? Yes," McCraw said. "Have there been drug seizures? Yes. Have there been vehicle seizures? Yes."
But asked for data on just those points, McCraw said, "That's not how we measure them." The department has asked the state Attorney General's office for permission to reject a subsequent AP request for the mission reports.
Asked whether taxpayers might feel unsettled about secret operations by a state law enforcement agency, McCraw replied: "The only ones who should feel unsettled are the (Mexican drug) cartels."
Perry would prefer not to commit state resources to border security, said spokeswoman Katherine Cesinger.
"We wish the feds would do their job and secure the border," she said.
The governor hammered the White House this month for not sending enough National Guard troops and Border Patrol agents to Texas. When President Barack Obama signed $600 million in funding for more agents, unmanned drones and customs officers this month, Perry said, "It's a good step in the right direction. Is it enough? I don't think so."
Perry announced the Ranger Recon program in the midst of his re-election primary campaign last September, two months after the program launched. The legislature had allocated about $230 million for border security during its last two sessions, he said.
"Landowners all along our border are finding their farms and ranches overrun by smuggling operations, often by armed individuals with no respect for property, the law or human life," Perry said during a speech in Houston. "By introducing Ranger Recon teams that can stay on the move, we can stay one jump ahead of the cartels and beat them at their own game."
Perry has since mentioned the Ranger Recon program in speeches to big city police chiefs, first responders, Latino peace officers groups and statements addressing border security.
Since its inception, "approximately 10 (Ranger Recon Team) missions, including training exercises and real-life undertakings, have been conducted as part of Operation Border Star," DPS wrote in response to the AP's public records request.
Pressed for an example of a Ranger Recon success, McCraw grabbed the most recent mission report and read that in one day, a team arrested 22 people and seized 1,739 pounds of marijuana. He offered no other details.
A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss Ranger Recon activities, agreed to describe one incident along the Rio Grande in June. A Ranger Recon Team staked out a section of Starr County riverbank with Border Patrol. Scouts came first, followed by two rafts carrying marijuana. Men loaded the drugs into a vehicle, but the driver turned back as authorities converged.
The smugglers threw mud, a gas can and finally a Molotov cocktail that bounced off a Ranger's leg without exploding, the official said. They escaped back to Mexico.
Capt. Hank Whitman, deputy assistant director of the Rangers, would only confirm the incident occurred. He said the Ranger teams have yet to use deadly force on a mission.
The lack of transparency has left the program vulnerable to criticism that it's a political ploy.
"The Ranger Recon Team is consistent with the Rick Perry record of grandstanding, not measurable success," said state Sen. Eliot Shapleigh, an El Paso Democrat and member of the Texas Senate's homeland security committee. The state's failure to provide statistics on the Ranger teams' activities "is one more attempt to hide what's going on," he said.
Shapleigh and Monica Weisberg-Stewart, chairwoman of the Texas Border Coalition's immigration and border security committee, compared the Ranger program to Perry's state-funded network of border cameras that civilians can monitor online.
Perry had given $5 million in federal grants to a border sheriffs organization to set up the cameras. Only a fraction of those planned were installed and the program failed to meet its original goals.
When you say, "show me what the programs have done, you can't find it," Weisberg-Stewart said. "We need to know tax dollars are being spent in the proper manner."
Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino, a Democrat who works on the border, said that after a year "I can honestly say I don't know what (the Ranger teams) worked on."
"We have yet to be invited on an operation or to hear that they've been successful in interdicting immigrant or drug loads," Trevino said.
But Terrell County Sheriff Clint McDonald, a Democrat who has endorsed Perry for re-election, said he's a believer. McDonald polices some of the state's most rugged terrain in a border county with nearly double the number of square miles — 2,300 — to people — 1,200. Ranger Recon teams trained there and public safety officials educated him about their work, he said.
"I had my doubts at first, but I think it's going to be a great operation," he said.
Asked if he could describe the Rangers' impact, McDonald said, "not in terms of numbers you can put on a piece of paper."

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you already know things are getting steadily worse over there. But have you heard about the Zetas.

As a refresher, a few decades ago, about 30 U.S. - trained Mexican Special Forces soldiers deserted and joined the Gulf Cartel as muscle.

They eventually became the shock troops in the Gulf Cartel's war against the Sinaloa Cartel.

In the meantime, those original Zetas recruited and trained new guys as the group grew.

They basically started taking over. No3w, the Gulf Cartel and Sinaloa Cartel have JOINED FORCES - something I never expected to see - to try to stop the Zetas.

The Zetas have been killing groups in the last few months - I mean like hitting a party and wiping out 50 people.

Officials recently found 72 bodies in a ranch south of Brownsville/Matamoros.

They were OTMs kidnapped and then killed by the Zetas. One guy survived to tell the story.

Things are so bad in Ciudad Juarez that city officials recently cancelled celebrations for this year's 16th of September holiday - and this year marks Mexico's Bicentennial.

The bad guys are taking over totally in Mexico.

I'm sure by now that everyone has heard the VP's, Biden, statements on how we are on the right road to Economic Recovery and that the Stimulus Package is working well.
So how do ya'll feel about this? Is he right? Wrong? Delusional? As things stand right now, I think he is just stupidly wrong. Our unemployment rate is official 9.5%, perhaps higher since many people have given up looking or don't qualify for Benefits anymore and may not be properly accounted for. Unions may need another bailout. Housing is WAY WAY down, lowest ever! Small businesses scared to do anything due to their tax breaks expiring, with many planning on employment cuts and product cost increases to make up the differences to stay afloat. A Mandatory Healthcare Bill going into effect soon, which will add to the problems of businesses and costs. One business has been quoted as saying that an estimated 55% of their profit margin will have to go to covering the mandated Healthcare requirements.
Are we on the right path? No, no we aren't. Did we have to try something? Yes we did and it's not working. So at what point will this President finally admit that it's not and he was wrong? That's what he needs to do, earn some "Man" points with us and try something else.
I doubt this will happen as his Admin is STILL pointing fingers at the Bush yrs almost TWO years later. Perhaps he had nothing but good intentions when he took Office, but, sadly, as the old saying goes: The Road to Hell is paved with good intentions. And it looks to me, this is EXACTLY the road we are on.

Various sources have indicated that yet another Big Union Bailout may be needed to help them stay afloat. Yet, apparently some of the Unions have been handing out bonuses and raises lately. Ya'll remember all the AIG nonsense last year, right?
I for one think NO, too bad, so sad. Need cash, take a pay cut or two and take NO bonuses. Collect way overdue fees from your members. Run your Union for the members like you were supposed to.

Why do they only have the resources to deport 100? I heard some Dem moron say that they only deport 300 a YEAR so picking and choosing makes sense. Come on! How hard is it? VERY because some where some how LAWYERS got involved. I don't see the legal leg to stand on here, you are here ILLEGALLY, case closed.. NEXT.. crap you should be doing 300 a week! Plop their butts on Greyhounds with a few guards and head for the border.
And no BS on their Constitutional rights, because last I saw the document's title it specified Constitution of The United States of America not Constitution of The United States of America and Illegal Aliens who swim/crawled/dug/climbed here

And is it not a waste of resources to catch that "shitload" and turn 50% or better back loose? Not to mention how disheartening it is to the officers out there picking them up in the 1st place.
I guess three strikes of DUI doesn't matter even when a nun gets run down, just turn them loose again. But that's okay since they're not a threat to public safety? When do they become a threat, 2 nuns and a priest? How about three Rabi's and out? What about the guy who is a carrier of the next super-virus? Turn him loose and give him free med care for that cough and runny nose... oops, infected a hospital full of people.
The official memo states that they should go through the THOUSANDS of cases and turn loose from prosecution any that have not committed any crimes or violated any laws. Now, last *I* read, we DO have that pesky lil Immigration Law and if they are here illegally then they VIOLATED it by status definition! But, alas, Khan Obama's crew is choosing to ignore THAT little fact.
By the way, are you naive enough to believe that your 100 who committed real crimes are actually just being turned loose over the border? Come to the US illegally, commit a murder and all those foolish Americans will do is deport you. NOPE, our prison system has LOTS of hardened ILLEGAL ALIEN prisoners in it. So your opening argument doesn't hold water at all, deport the "law-abiding" Illegals and prosecute the violent ones.
All this is is the start of an Backdoor Amnesty policy by a chicken shit Obama Admin.

So I was watching The Daily Show. Now... you'd have to live under a rock to not know that Stewart always has Fox in his crosshairs. So I certainly took it with a grain of salt when I heard a recent story. I know that a lot of folks here don't believe it UNLESS it comes from Fox...

Al-Waleed bin Talal is one of the big supporters of the supposed "terror mosque" at Ground Zero. He is also the second largest shareholder in Newscorp, the parent company of Fox News. He is, to all appearances, in good stead with Rupert Murdoch, the guy who owns and carefully controls Fox.

So... now I'm confused. If this is true... and a bit of research seems to bear this up... is the best way we, as patriotic Americans, can fight terrorism, militant Islam, and all that other stuff... to boycott Fox?

Not kidding. Possibly one of the most moving things I've ever seen on The Daily Show. For those of you interested in watching, it's the episode where he interviews Jennifer Aniston, about 8 minutes in.

As many of you may remember, back after Columbine, Heston gave a big speech about how the NRA shouldn't cancel an event in order to appease the anti-gunners. Back then, Stewart grabbed the clip and took Heston to task in true Stewart style.

Today, he played the clip again and said that Heston was right and that he (Stewart) was wrong.

Be aware that this was in reference to the whole Ground Zero Mosque thing.

You have to respect a man who is willing to air his mistakes publicly like that.

And then he went on to bitchslap Pelosi.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
